Chill Chest Dry Ice Packs: 50 Pack

The key ingredient in our product is Sodium Polyacrylate, a non toxic compound which can absorb 200 to 300 times its weight in tap water (or more if using distilled water) and hold it in a gel form. This gel does not release water, and is held in “cells” by a combination of fabric and plastic layers, creating an end result of an “ice” that provides very effective cooling. When squeezed (before freezing) the cells will leak a small amount of water. But once pressure is removed from the cell, the water goes straight back inside.

We recommend using 1 sheet of "ice" per 7L of ice box. Which equates to the following:
• 50L - 75L ice box: 10 pack - Go to 10 pack
• 75L - 100L ice box: 15 pack - Go to 15 pack
• 100L - 150L ice box: 20 pack - Go to 20 pack
• 150L - 175L ice box: 25 pack- Go to 25 pack

Your ice packs will be delivered to you dehydrated, and appear as several sheets of paper divided up into cells or sachets of powder. But don’t let their appearance deceive you, their performance is outstanding. Simply soak each sheet in a sink of clean, fresh water for up to 25 minutes, until they are firm when you squeeze them. Using warm water will speed up this process, and there is no need to measure how much you fill the sink, as each cell only absorbs a certain amount. Once firm, wipe any excess water from the surface of the sheets, and place in the freezer, plastic (shiny) side face down to prevent sticking together. Stacked in this fashion, up to 5 sheets can be stacked one upon the other, and freeze effectively.
